ERUA at the Viadrina

Since November 2023, the European University Viadrina has been a member of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), a network of eight universities stretching from the Canary Islands via France, Italy and Poland to Lithuania, Bulgaria and Greece. The Viadrina is thus being funded as a "European University" and will receive 2.25 million euros out of a total of 12.8 million euros for a period of four years, with which the European Commission is funding the entire ERUA network. The aim of the European Reform University Alliance is to innovatively shape the future of universities in Europe and to rethink teaching and learning as well as research and social commitment from a critical, European and inclusive perspective.

With the European Universities Programme, the European Commission is promoting the networking of universities across Europe. As cross-border university networks, they are intended to strengthen the higher education area by pooling the strengths and diversity of research and teaching at universities in Europe.

ERUA Song Contest Final is Coming!

The grand finale of ERUAvision is here! From 30 April to 7 May 2026, selected participants will join an intensive course in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, developing their music projects in an international environment. They will record their songs in a professional studio and refine their performance skills throughout the week. The journey will culminate in the ERUAvision Final Concert on 7 May 2026, featuring live performances of the selected songs. Join us on May 7th, 2026, at 19:00 at the Kleistforum in Frankfurt (Oder) to watch students from Germany, Spain, Italy, France, and Lithuania perform their original songs live. Doors open at 18:00. Entry is free. The event will be streamed online in a hybrid format, open to audiences across and beyond the ERUA network. Don’t miss this celebration of creativity, collaboration, and emerging talent!

3rd Bottom-Up Project Call for Students

Students across ERUA are invited to submit ideas for collaborative, student-led projects addressing topics such as engagement, wellbeing, and sustainability. International teams (min. two universities) can receive up to €5,000 funding for projects lasting up to eight months. Apply by 11 May 2026 and join an online info session on 20 April 2026.

Call for Papers SOCIN 2026: Scientific Conference on Social Innovation

Join researchers, doctoral students, practitioners, and policymakers in Warsaw, Poland, on 21–23 October 2026 for an international conference on social innovation, co-organized by ERUA and SWPS University. Submit papers, posters, or workshop proposals by 15 May 2026.
