Profile

The Viadrina is a special university in a special place. It is located directly on and above the German-Polish border in the twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice. Innovative and relevant research on social change and future European issues characterise the teaching and enable students to think beyond national and disciplinary borders.

Committees

The Foundation council, the Presidium and the Senate are central boards of academic administration at the European University Viadrina. These bodies shape the development of the university, conduct important university policy debates and pass corresponding resolutions.

The Viadrina is a learning organisation that is constantly optimising its structures. This enables it to react quickly and effectively to new research topics, changing student interests, new social needs and changing organisational and governance requirements.
