Cultural Coordination

Cultural Coordination between the University and the City

The Cultural Coordinator is a networking centre between the European University and the city of Frankfurt (Oder) in the cultural field with the aim of sustainably intensifying cooperation between the university and urban society.

On the one hand, students are actively encouraged to develop and realise (socio)cultural projects in the twin city. On the other hand, cultural actors from the city are advised and supported in reaching university target groups.

Due to the diversity of the (socio)cultural offerings in the twin city, the cultural coordinator encourages various collaborations that reflect the diversity of the cultural landscape. These collaborations are offered in the form of practice-oriented courses at the European University Viadrina Foundation and are open to all students of the three Faculties. The seminars will be accompanied by cultural actors from the twin city.

Another component is counselling. This includes assistance with funding applications or the search for suitable project partners, etc. The counselling is aimed at both students and cultural stakeholders in the twin city.
