Incentives

The previous procedure for awarding ‘incentives for the successful acquisition of third-party funding for research purposes’ came to an end on 1 April 2026. New applications for incentives could be submitted for the last time by this deadline.

The new “Guideline on individual remuneration for outstanding achievements in teaching, research and knowledge transfer, and on the provision of incentives for the development and implementation of major teaching, research and knowledge transfer projects" is currently (10 June 2026) suspended.

Following the end of the old procedure and the suspension of the new procedure, there is currently no valid Incentives Procedure, and no incentives can be awarded.

An exception is made for applications for the continuation of incentives already approved under the old system. These may be submitted by e-mail to the research office up to 9 months after the expiry of the approved grants: kuhnau@europa-uni.de
