Incentives for successful acquisition of third-party funding
On this page you will find all the information you need to apply for allowances under the incentives procedure, which are awarded for the successful acquisition of third-party funding for research purposes.
UPDATE NOTE:
On 21 January 2026, the Presidential College adopted a new "Guideline for the individual rewarding of special achievements in teaching, research and transfer as well as for the granting of incentives for the development and implementation of major teaching, research and transfer projects". This replaces the previous incentives procedure.
The following regulations apply to the transition from the old to the new procedure:
- All ongoing incentives procedures for which applications have already been submitted will still be completed under the old system.
- Regular applications under the old procedure are still possible until the next deadline on 1 April 2026.
- Continuation applications for incentives already approved under the old system can be submitted to the research office at any time by e-mail (in accordance with the project duration documented in the initial application): kuhnau@europa-uni.de
A handout on the implementation of the new guideline will be prepared soon, made available on this website and communicated by circular e-mail.
Applications until April 01, 2026
For applications until April 1, 2026, the Guideline: Incentives for the successful acquisition of third-party funding for research purposes and the Guideline implementation guide "Incentives for the successful acquisition of third-party funding for research purposes" remain in force.
