Ethics Committee

The new version of the Ordnung zur Einrichtung einer Ethikkommission des Senates der Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), which the Senate adopted on 3 November 2021, specifies which research projects are examined by the committee, who is eligible to apply (§ 3), and how the application is submitted (§ 4). It also sets out the procedure for reviewing research projects. The Commission informs the applicants of the result of its review in an explained vote as "approval", "approval with reservations and, if applicable, with conditions" or "rejection" (Section 5).

The Ethics Commission was newly appointed by the Senate on May 8, 2024. The term of office runs for three years from May 8, 2024, to May 7, 2027. The commission currently has the following members:
