Presidential Board

The European University Viadrina is managed by a Presidential Board, which also forms the Executive Board of the European University Viadrina Foundation. The Presidential Board is made up by the president, four part-time vice-presidents, the chancellor, the deans of the three faculties and a student member.

President Prof Dr Eduard Mühle

Eduard Mühle was elected president of the Viadrina for six years on 2 November 2022 and has held the office since 1 April 2023.

The President leads the European University Viadrina in accordance with its constitution in his own authority and responsibility and represents it publicly. In the Presidential Board, he has the authority to issue guidelines and is responsible for the overall strategy of the university. The areas of strategy and development, university communication, appointment management and marketing report directly to the President.
