Vice President for digitalisation

The responsibilities of the Vice President for Digitalisation include the strategic management of IT security issues, involvement in the further development of the Centre for Digital Transformation (ZDT) at Brandenburg's universities and the management of digital research data infrastructures. Another focus is on supporting the use of artificial intelligence in teaching.

Charlotte Köhler's research focusses on data-driven decision-making processes at the interface of operations research and business analytics. She develops models and methods to support planning in the field of home delivery and to improve and economically evaluate digital health applications. Her research is application-oriented and interdisciplinary and addresses challenges in logistics, e-commerce and digital medicine. She is co-founder of the research network co-minded, which focusses on digital health solutions for mental illness in a global context.

Charlotte Köhler (born 1991 in Hilden) has been Junior Professor of Business Administration, in particular Business Analytics, at the European University Viadrina since 2022. There she was a member of the 16th Senate and Chair of the Senate Commission for Digital Infrastructures (2023-2025). After completing her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration and Business Informatics at the Free University of Berlin (graduated in 2016), she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Analytics at the Free University of Berlin, at the European University Viadrina and at the Chair of Management Science at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. In 2019, she completed a research stay at the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. In 2020, she received her doctorate from the Free University of Berlin. She then worked on a research project at Freie Universität Berlin. From 2021 to 2022 she worked in a digital start-up in Berlin. From 2023 to 2025, she worked part-time as a data scientist for a Berlin-based digital consultancy alongside her professorship. She is a member of the Steering Committee of GLOHRA (since 2022) and Communication Chair of the INFORMS Transportation Science & Logistics Society (since 2024).
