Prospective students

To enrol in one of our study programmes, you need a university entrance qualification for Germany. This is the case if your previous education qualifies you to study directly at a German university. Find out in good time about the requirements that apply to you.

Information about a short term stay at the European University Viadrina as part of an exchange programme (e.g. Erasmus), as a guest student (‘Free Mover’) or for a summer course can be found in the section Exchange students.

All information for prospective students from abroad

The Viadrina College offers preparatory language, methodological and/or subject-related programmes for international high school graduates and prospective students with an indirect univesity entrance qualification to the German higher education system. These programmes allow for an acquisition of a subject-related university entrance qualification. After completion, students can directly enrol in a Bachelor's programme in the chosen subject area.

For prospective students with a direct university entrance qualification for Germany but without sufficient language skills, it offers the necessary language preparation. Prospective students can choose between various preparatory study programmes, depending on their background, requirements and study aspirations.

Viadrina College

With the aim of attracting students to study in Frankfurt (Oder), Viadrina cooperates with PASCH-net schools as well as German Schools Abroad and German Language Diploma schools in Armenia, Bulgaria, Poland, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

As part of the DAAD "Betreuungsinitiative Deutsche Auslands- und Partnerschulen" (BIDS), we can offer groups of international high school students a "Student for a Week"-programme in Frankfurt (Oder) twice a year. We also organise information trips to relevant schools, award motivation scholarships to first year students for a successful start to their studies at the European University Viadrina and offer a special Student Advisory Service specifically for students from German Schools Abroad.
