Viadrina welcomes nine international researchers as Fellows at the KIU – Competence Network for Interdisciplinary Ukraine Studies
How is the Ukrainian resistance organised? What image of Ukrainian women in the military is conveyed via social media? To what extent does the current war influence language ideologies in Ukraine? And how is the attacked country being supported by Lithuanian volunteers, for example? Nine fellows from the KIU – Competence Network for Interdisciplinary Ukraine Studies are working on these and other issues at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) until the end of July.
The researchers from Estonia, Lithuania, the USA, France and Ukraine arrived in May; they form the second round of the KIU scholarship programme. As part of the current semester topic "Ukraine in Europe", they are working from legal, historical, political science and philosophical perspectives, among others.
