"Courageous steps towards a new beginning" - Viadrina 2024 annual report published
Who is researching which topics at the Viadrina? Which projects have received funding, which work has been honoured with awards? And how is the reform process at the European University going? Answers to these and other questions are to be found in the newly published annual report Viadrina 2024. On Wednesday, 14 May, Prof. Dr Eduard Mühle, President of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), presented the report at a press conference.
The report describes in English and German how and which topics are taught and researched at the Viadrina. Selected projects illustrate the thematic focus of the European University: from interdependencies in Europe to transformation processes and the shaping of collaborations. Innovative, hands on teaching formats are presented as well as excellent research results. In addition, numerous graphics and statistics offer insights into the structure of the Viadrina, international networking and the promotion of researchers at different stages of their careers.

"Attractive, good teaching, optimal study conditions, forward-looking research, comprehensible academic communication, socially relevant transfer - the Viadrina has high expectations of itself. The past year was characterised by courageous steps towards a new departure and has set the Viadrina in motion to bring it a good deal closer to fulfilling this claim," writes Prof. Dr Eduard Mühle in the foreword of the annual report 2024 about the current reform programme.
