Sustainability is a cross-cutting responsibility at the European University Viadrina. Through the EMAS environmental management system (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), the University works to use resources efficiently, reduce its environmental impact and continuously make campus operations more sustainable.

Our Sustainability Mission Statement sets out the goals and principles that guide our actions. In our annual Environmental Statement, we provide information on environmental indicators, measures and the progress made in our environmental management. The EMAS team coordinates the implementation of the environmental management system and serves as the central point of contact for questions, ideas and suggestions relating to sustainability at Viadrina.
