Mercimek Pilavı (in Turkish)

Green Lentil Dish with Turkish Bulgur (Vegan)

Step 1

Put the expurgated and washed lentils and bulgur to the pot and add enough water to cover it (about 3 cups). Continue until the lentils and bulgur are completely drained (softened). 

Step 2

In the separate pan, cook chopped onion for 3-4 minutes with olive oil, then continue, adding the black pepper. 

Step 3

Finally, pour the onion mixture over the rice and lentils and blend it together. 

Step 4

Serve hot.
Little Tip: You can serve it with pickled cucumber or Greek Tzatziki! :)
