Olena Zinenko is senior lecturer and Ph.D. researcher at the Chair of Media Communiation, Sociology Department, V.N. Karazin's Kharkiv National University in Ukraine.

Her research interest lies in a rethinking of the approaches to the media representation of the public events in the context of social and political transformations.

Oksana Mikheieva holds a PhD in History and is professor of the Sociology Department at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.

Her research areas include conflict and transformation studies in the post-Soviet space, memory politics, labor migration and forced migration.

Antonio Carbone

Antonio Carbone received his PhD with a dissertation on the influence of epidemics on urban space and imaginaries in Buenos Aires in the second half of the nineteenth century. He was member of the interdisciplinary graduate school “The World in the City” at the Technische Universität Berlin and worked as lecturer in the global history department of the Freie Universität Berlin.

In his current research project, he is concerned with the history of the emergence of European and global concepts of South and of their influence on different ideas and projects of European integration in the post-war period.
