German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) fosters international relations between German universities and universities abroad by facilitating the exchange of students and academics and by funding international programmes and projects.

Country Information: The DAAD provides specific information on scholarship programmes for study, teaching or research visits, university projects and academic collaboration in individual countries.

Project Funding Programmes: Information and overview of current DAAD project funding programmes.

Mobility Programme - Project-based staff exchange programmes (PPP): Through its PPP programmes, the DAAD supports joint, binational research projects with the aim of strengthening academic relations between German institutions and institutions abroad as well as promoting research activities in collaboration with research partners. In particular, grants are provided to enable young academics involved in a project to undertake research visits to the relevant partner institutions abroad.
