INTERREG-Programme

The INTERREG programme is a part of the structure and innovation policy of the European Commission. It supports cross-border cooperation between regions and cities in three key areas (strands):

• Strand A: cross-border cooperation: further development of the economic and social cooperation in neighboring border regions.
• Strand B: Transnational cooperation: cooperation between national, regional and local partners in transnational cooperation areas in order to enhance the territorial integration of this areas.
• Strand C: Interregional cooperation: cooperation networks and experience exchange in order to improve the efficiency of the exhisting instruments for the regional development and cohesion.
