E-Learning Plattform Moodle

Moodle is a freely available online learning management system. The European University's e-learning platform is based on Moodle. Digital teaching mainly takes place via this web-based platform. You can also install Moodle as an app on your smartphone and log in with your university account (free of charge in the Google Play Store / Apple Store).

Mahara

Mahara is another e-learning platform of the European University Viadrina and is open to all Viadrina students for their own use. You can create your own groups, share and edit content, communicate in forums or present your own work. You can decide for yourself which content is made available to whom. Mahara thus offers a data protection-compliant, secure alternative to social service providers hosted outside the EU, because your data uploaded to Mahara is stored on Viadrina servers.

EvaSys

EvaSys is the central evaluation platform at Viadrina and is used campus-wide for the online evaluation of courses. At the end of a course you have attended, you will usually be asked by e-mail to evaluate it in a questionnaire on EvaSys.
With this software, it is possible to carry out paper, online and hybrid surveys with a high degree of automation. Once the evaluation has been completed, it is possible to create comprehensive reports and evaluations.

You can also gain access to EvaSys to create and conduct your own surveys for your thesis, for example. To gain access, you must contact the IKMZ once at elearning-support@europa-uni.de. The participants in your survey do not need their own access to EvaSys.

VPN

With the help of a so-called VPN connection, you can establish encrypted remote access to applications and shared resources of the Europa Universität, e.g. to databases of the university library. The databases "juris" and "Beck-Online", for example, can be used by all university members (including students!) via a VPN connection at no additional cost.
To use a VPN connection, you need a student or staff account at the university, an internet connection outside the university and a special client. You can find everything else here.
