Center for teaching and learning
In the winter semester 2020/21, courses can be taught in both analogue and online formats, face-to-face teaching or hybrid teaching, i.e. blended learning. Online learning activities can be organised in an asynchronous manner, giving you time to prepare a work result for example. They can, however, also be organised synchronously, i.e. in the shape of virtual meetings in which you cannot only listen but also discuss or present something. The faculties decide on the manner in which a specific course can be taught.
This means for you:
In the course catalogue for winter semester 2020/21 you will find different types of courses which are held either online or on site in accordance with the current pandemic regulations. Whether a course is planned online or on site is indicated for each course in viaCampus.
Whether an online course requires synchronous or asynchronous learning is indicated in the respective moodle courses which will be opened in October. Please refer to moodle for the latest information on course format and further details.
- Both online office hours and one-to-one office hours on site are possible. In case of doubt, ask the lecturer.
