Since 2021, Orest Dovhan has been a student of the Master's program in Central and Eastern European Culture and History. In the summer of 2021, he graduated from the bachelor's program in history and archeology at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. His research interests has been the study of Soviet and Russian propaganda. In 2021, Orest defended his bachelor's thesis on the coverage of Nazi Germany in the Soviet newspaper Pravda. In his master's thesis, he continues to deepen his knowledge of this topic.

Orest has been working as a student assistant at the Department of Entangled History of Ukraine since 2022. In 2023, he started working as a student assistant at the Viadrina Center of Ukrainian and Polish Studies
