This defines us as a university

At the Viadrina, we strive to educate people who are seeking for academically based impulses to overcome social challenges. For this purpose, we offer you an individual degree programme that will prepare you to shape the society of tomorrow from a unique all-European perspective and within a strong international network.

Our specialisation lies in the areas of Digitalisation, Culture, Law and Business. In this area we offer more than 20 study programmes and 25 international double degrees at four faculties and schools.

A place for independent research in Europe

We do research, teaching and knowledge transfer for the benefit of society. We educate, research and teach people who successfully provide academically based impulses for overcoming complex social challenges. Research, teaching and knowledge transfer are closely interlinked and promote critical thinking and independent action as well as flexible and dynamic employability. Our alumni successfully contribute to shaping a peaceful and cooperative European future in a global context.

Viadrina revises study programme - New study courses and integrated master's degree in law

Individual support, social relevance and an international focus with an Eastern European connection if requested - that's what a degree programme at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is all about. From the winter semester 2026/27, Viadrina will be offering five new Master's degree programmes and one new Bachelor's degree programme. Overall, the degree programmes will be more closely aligned with the needs of students and the focus on Eastern Europe will be strengthened in all Faculties.
