The Grant Program of the European University Viadrina

Starting Grant

The starting grant allows the student an easy and worry-free start to their study. This applies to newly registered Viadrina students, from abroad, in bachelor and postgraduate programs who have registered with a German university for the first time.

Students from Poland, Bulgaria, Romania are eligible to apply.

Amount of the Grant: 300.00 € per month for a maximum of 10 months.

Social Grant

Constrained means can impede and prolong study.  The aim of the social grant is to take a part of the financial burden and help the student to have a successful study at university. Foreign undergraduate and postgraduate students that intend to complete those degrees at the Viadrina and are within the designated period of study but find themselves in financial difficulties can apply for this grant.

These grants are funded mainly through donations. Students from Poland.

Amount of the Grant: 300.00 € per month for a maximum of 10 months.

Merit-Based Scholarship

Excellent student performance should be rewarded. Therefore the Merit-Based Scholarship of the European University Viadrina is awarded to those German or foreign undergraduate and postgraduate students that intend to complete those degrees at the Viadrina and are within the designated period of study. These grants are funded mainly through donations.

Students from any country can apply if they fulfil the requirements.

Amount of the Grant: 300.00 € per month for a maximum of 12 months.

Deutschlandstipendium

The purpose of the Deutschlandstipendium is to support gifted students that have achieved excellence in student performance or professionally, or are expected to. This is awarded through the European-University. Any student taking undergraduate or postgraduate degrees that intend to complete those degrees at the Viadrina and are within the designated period of study, can apply. These grants are funded partly by private donation and partly by the Federal Government.

Students from any country can apply.

Amount of the Grant: 300.00 € per month for a maximum of 12 months.
