Viadrina Scholarships

The European University Viadrina has developed special financial support programs for international students to study at the Viadrina or for study abroad. The majority of the grants is for students from Poland, Middle or Eastern Europe as well as GUS.

Financial Support

Who supports my studies in Germany?
Foreigners that wish to study or complete research in Germany ofthen ask this question.

To help you in the search for a stipend, DAAD offers its internet "funding guide" in both English and German. This vast collection of financial support resources lists nearly 100 programs offered by more than 50 organizations. As a rule, the majority of funding is in the form of partial stipends.

ERASMUS Scholarships

Consult your home university about financial assistance programs and stipends. If you are participating in a Socrates-Erasums Program, you are entitled to receive a stipend from your home university!

Scholarship for Polish, Czech and Belarusian Students (Gemeinschaft für studentischen Austausch aus Mittel- und Osteuropa GFPS e.V.)

The GFPS e.V. offers each semester scholarships for Polish, Czech and Belarusian students and PhD candidates who would like to study in Germany.

Application deadline for the scholarship programs is 31 March (winter semester) and 30 September (summer semester).

Master Scholarships for Graduates from Ukraine

The scholarship program for graduates from Ukraine is succesfully organised by the European-University Viadrina since 1997. Our university offers annually six full scholarships for a master study in the field of Economics, Cultural Studies and Law. The scholarships are awarded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Alfred-Toepfer-Scholarships

The Alfred Toepfer Scholarship Programme has existed since 1996 and was expanded in 2005. It supports the final examination phase in studies at universities in Germany, especially European studies in the fields of cultural studies and the humanities, but also in the fine arts and the performing arts, architecture, agricultural and forestry sciences.
