EMA2 - Hermes
HERMES stands for “Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS”. The project promotes scientific exchange and strengthens the links between universities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine and their counterparts in EU member states. HERMES is dedicated to the Humanities. Academic projects in the field of Law can also receive funding, but the Humanities will be given precedence.
HERMES is financed entirely through the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 program of the European Commission. It is coordinated by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and co-coordinated by the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Georgia.
Viadrina is one of seven European universities participating in the project. As a project partner, it can send undergraduate, graduate and PhD students, academics and staff on exchange semesters, research and work stays at the HERMES partner universities and provide them with EMA2 scholarships, as well as receive students, academics and staff from the participating HERMES countries.
If you are from one of the HERMES-countries and want to apply for a stay at Viadrina under the HERMES project, you will find more information here. Your main contact at Viadrina is also Julian Irlenkäuser.
During the current, last call for applications (open from 17th October through 31st October 2016) there will only be grants for research stays for PhD-students on offer.
