We will pick up all participants from Frankfurt (Oder) train station on Sunday, July 19th, at 12.00 a.m. (meet us at the lobby of the train station). You will be accompanied from there to your respective dormitories.

By train

Frankfurt (Oder) is easy to reach by train when coming from Berlin, it takes around one hour from Berlin's center to the train station of Frankfurt (Oder). Trains usually depart in a 30 minute frequency from all train stations in the city center. You can check the best train connection at the website of the German Railway, the Deutsche Bahn.

Please make sure that you land at one of the two Berlin airports: Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) or Berlin Schönefeld Airport (SXF)

If you arrive at Tegel Airport (TXL), take the bus TXL to 'Hauptbahnhof' (Main Train Station). Take the train from there to Frankfurt (Oder).

If you arrive at Schönefeld Airport (SXF), take the train from there to 'Berlin Ostbahnhof' and take the train to Frankfurt (Oder) from there.

Housing

You will be living in single apartments in one of our student halls. Sheet and bedlinen will be there, but please bring along your own towels. The dormitories are not directly located on campus – you have to plan approx. 20 min. to get to class. We will show you how the local transportation system works here and print out the tram schedules for all of you.

Please note that due to data security reasons we do NOT have Wi-Fi in our residence halls. We therefore recommend you to bring an Ethernet cable in order to connect your computer to the internet. Of course you can also buy it here! There will be time for a little shopping tour to get cables if you cannot bring one on Monday, July 20th 2015. For your time in class and on the whole campus you will receive a university Wi-Fi access.
