Bachelor of Arts
Language:	DE	EN	PL	FR	Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Latin. Remarks.
Social and Cultural Studies	AR	MI	MI	MI	Students acquire proficiency in two foreign languages (UniCertII).
Master of Arts
Intercultural Communication	AR	MI 2x	(OL) 2x		Unless you can prove your knowledge in two foreign languages at UNICert-level II prior to starting your study, you have to prove it before registering to your master's exam. Additionally, all students learn a new foreign language and prove their proficiency at the UniCertI level. Speakers of a non-Slavic mother tongue are supposed to learn Polish. Double bachelor in Englisch: (+ UNICert-level I in Polish) Uniwersytet Adama Mickiewicza in Poznań, Poland.
Socio-cultural Studies	AR	MI			Unless you can prove your knowledge in two foreign languages at UNICert-level II prior to starting your study, you have to prove it before registering to your master's exam. Additionally, proficiency in one of these languages has to be proven at the UNICert-level III.
European Cultural History	AR				Unless you can prove your knowledge in two foreign languages at UNICert-level II prior to starting your study, you have to prove it before registering to your master's exam. Additionally proficiency in one of these languages has to be proven at the UNICert-level III or skills in a third language have to be proven at UNICert-level II.
Culture and history of Central and Eastern Europe	AR				Proficiency at the UNICert-level II in one Slavic language is an admission requirement. Proficiency at UNICert-level II in another foreign language has to be proven prior to starting your study or at least before registering to your master's exam. At the end of the program skills in the slavic language have to be proven at UNICert-level III (this applies only for speakers of a non-slavic mother tongue, all others have to prove German at UNICert-level III)
Media-Communication-Culture	MI OL			MI OL	Integrated tri-national master's degree program that takes place at three universities: Europa-Universität Viadrina, Frankfurt(Oder), Germany Sophia Antipolis Univeristy in Nice, France and Universität St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia, Bulgaria. German and French langage skills are admission requirements and have to be proven at the beginning of the 2nd term at UNICert-level II.
European Studies	AR	MI OL 2x			At least one course in English has to be attended to. Proficiency in one foreign language of your choice has to be proven at the UNICert-level II or III. Double master in English: Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey. Adam-Mickiewicz-University in Poznań, Poland. (+ Polish skills)

If you can prove your ability to study in this language, you can apply within your regular program for the following programs:

MI - Medium of Instruction

Knowing the medium of instruction is the condition for participating in any course offered within this program. The MI is not an admission requirement though, because courses in this language can be substituted by courses in the AR-language.

AR - Admission Requirement

To be accepted for this program all candidates have to prove their knowledge in this language. It is automatically the medium of instruction.

OL - Obligatory Language

Either study classes in this language have to be attended (and passed) or the knowledge in this language has to be proven at a certain UNIcert level.
