5 Steps to the Viadrina - Master Programs

The European University Viadrina has implemented a new portal "du.deine uni.". It provides many important information concerning your application already. Please, be aware that the implementation of the portal "du.deine uni." is still in progress!

You can browse the portal "du.deine uni." for information concernig application.

However, for your application, please, follow the steps which are described here!


Important!

If you are a German passport holder (regardless whether this is your only citizenship or you have other citizenships apart from this) please, apply according to the rules for Germans only, even if you possess a foreign certificate of aptitude for higher education.

 

Step 1:
Collect Information

You can find already many detailed information about the study programs at the portal "du.deine uni.".

  • Triple Master Media-Communication-Culture
    Joint degree within the Master program Intercultural Communication Studies between the European University Viadrina, the University Nizza Sophia Antipolis (France) and the University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria).

Fee-Based Master Degrees

  • If you are interested in a fee-based Master program please check about the application requirements and admission requirements on the webpages of the respective study program.

Every year we organize an Open House Day (in German only) and a Polish Open House Day where you can get further information. You can meet us in your home country as well.

This year's Polish Open House Day is taking place on 23rd October 2014

Prepare Documents

Please prepare all necessary documents and forms for your application.

Applications for Master programs
may be done online exclusively!

Please, make use of the portal "viaCampus": https://viacampus.europa-uni.de/

The portal is available in German and English language. It will be opened appr. 6 weeks before the deadline for applications (usually on June 1 for the winter semester and on December 1 for the summer semester) Please, pay attention to possible modifications.


It is not possible to apply earlier!


When applying, please follow the advice and instructions given in the portal. The online application form can be found within the portal as well.

As the last document in the portal you will find the application request form ("Bewerbung um einen Studienplatz"). You have to print it, sign it by yourself, and send it together with all other documents to be submitted to:

Please do not forget to send your online application electronically as well!

It is not NOT SUFFICIENT to send the application documents by email only. You have to send all documents as HARDCOPIES (paper based) to the Viadrina, too!


Please note the deadlines for applications:

  • for the winter semester: July 15th
  • for the summer semester: January 15th

These deadlines are binding for both applications for programs with restricted numbers of places (with NC) and applications for programs without restrictions (without NC).

Important: All needed documents have to reach the Viadrina until the end of the deadline! The postmark does not count.

If you apply for a program
with restricted number of places

(numerus clausus), please follow the
rules for Germans.

Attention: Changed application deadlines for the master programme International Business Administration

Applicants for the master programme International Business Administration please note:

  • Opening of the online application:
    • 1st  May for each winter semester
    • 1st November for each summer semester
  • Application Deadline
    • 31st May for each winter semester
    • 30th November for each summer semester
 

 

Step 4:
Get enrolled

You can enroll after you have received your letter of acceptance. For your enrollment please bring all documents mentioned in your letter of acceptance.

 

Step 5:
Comply with the Formalities

You must have valid health insurance, to enroll at a German university!

Applicants from within the European Union:
You do not need a German health insurance policy. Your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is valid and sufficient. You have to order the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from your insurance company in your home country well in advance.

Applicants form beyond the European Union:
For you a German health insurance policy is obligatory. After you arrival in Frankfurt (Oder) you have to conclude such a policy with a German health insurance company.
