Frankfurt Institute for Transformation Studies
The Frankfurt Institute for Transformation Studies (FIT) is conducting basic research in the field of transformations of national and international political structures. Combining approaches from law as well as cultural, social and economic sciences, research activities have an interdisciplinary methodological background. Research is centred both on democratization processes within the nation state and the reconfiguration of political governance beyond national borders as i.e. within the European Union. For the period 2009 - 2011, a special focus is set on the concomitance of integration and disintegration.
Find here information about recent publications and discussion papers, workshops or conferences as well as a list of members and staff of the institute.
