Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schoor

Axel Springer Endowed Professorship of German-Jewish Literature and Cultural History, Exile and Migration, Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences, European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), Germany

As a literary scholar and lecturer I focus my research on processes in literary culture and communication within their spatial, performative, medial and aesthetic dimensions. My special interests lie with the German-language literature of the exile after 1933 as well as

with German-Jewish literature of the 18th century to the 21st century. Within my field of research are embedded questions on cultural interactions and esthetical overlapping in context with diaspora, exile and migration, i.e. social borderline phenomena as it were. Nowadays, with a view on globalisation, the aforementioned topics will need to be newly described within discourses on literary science.
